Richard Ruhl
Richard grew up in Charlotte County and has been in private practice in Southwest Florida since 2003. He attended elementary, junior high and high school in Englewood and college in Fort Myers at International College. He graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami in 2001. He was admitted to the bar in May of 2002 and accepted a job with the Public Defender’s office. After spending a period of time with the Public Defender’s office, Rick accepted a job with the Law Office of Robert Distefano in Fort Lauderdale. After spending a year with Robert Distefano, he moved back to the area to open his own practice.
Rick is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a founding member of the Charlotte County Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He speaks to students at local elementary, junior and high schools, and volunteers much of his time to the youth of the community.
He is the father of two children, and in his free time, enjoys coaching his daughter’s travel fast pitch softball team and travels all around the state with the team.
Dennis Wallace
Dennis focuses his practice in the areas Criminal and Traffic Defense, Family Law, Foreclosure Defense and Civil litigation. Born in West Virginia, Dennis moved to Charlotte County in 1982 and has called Southwest Florida home ever since. In 1993, Dennis graduated for Lemon Bay High School in Englewood, and immediately thereafter earned his Bachelors degrees in both Criminology and Political Science from Florida State University. After college, Dennis attended St. Thomas University, College of Law, in Miami, earning his Juris Doctorate degree in 2001.
Dennis is admitted to practice in all the Florida state courts. He is a member of the Charlotte and Lee County Bar Associations, as well as, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar Association. Since being admitted to practice law in 2001, Mr. Wallace has had the opportunity to practice in several different areas of the law. Prior to coming to the Ruhl Law Group, Dennis was a prosecutor for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, serving Charlotte, Lee, Hendry, Glades and Collier Counties.
In his spare time Dennis is an avid sports fan, following all the Florida sports teams, especially, the Seminoles of Florida State. Dennis also enjoys playing golf and boating on the waters of Southwest Florida.
